I created these concepts for small, compact planters during my internship with Working Class Studio, a product development venture of the Savannah College of Art and Design. I designed original pieces and fabricated initial prototypes that are currently being optioned for production by the studio.

While flipping through graphic design books, I started to tire of sleek, crisp, cool vector-drawing-layer-explosion/paint spatter type graphics. So rather than stay within the 2000's, I grabbed the 1955 collection of Industrial Design magazine and began to page though. The content was pretty dull: reviews of new appliances, construction materials, etc., but the advertising within the magazine was awesome--the ads were carefree, full of 50s optimism, and paired with a friendly and warm color palette. So I followed suit:
